Video Release: Is This Yours, by Sean Connaughty

This Weekend, Nov 18/19/20 Sean Connaughty's video, Is This Yours, will be screened at 15 different locations across the Twin Cities.  See below for hours and locations.

And, please join us at 6:00pm, Saturday, November 19 for the twin-cities launch of the video, Is This Yours, by Sean Connaughty. This is an artwork that addresses pollution in Twin-Cities lakes and rivers. This is your chance to meet the artist and his alter-ego, the polluting Mr. Bobble-head.  Multiple locations across the twin-cities will be airing the video at the same time, but if you want to meet the artist, come to Instinct.

Here is a bit about the piece: Litter in our city streets makes its way into our lakes, creeks and rivers. Rainstorms wash it into gutters and storm drains, where it is carried directly to our waters.  The types of trash generated by human activity that frequently pollute our waterways include plastic bottles, snack wrappers, cellophane, styrofoam packaging, cigarette butts, paper, fast food containers, plastic grocery bags, cans, used diapers and condoms, hypodermic needles, and more. Tons of garbage from the streets flow into our Lakes and rivers at every rainfall.

Collectively we can stop the pollution that is choking our beautiful waterways. To learn more please visit us at the gallery!
