JANTJE VISSCHER

Jantje Visscher earned a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the University of California at Berkeley. She has received a Bush Fellowship, an NEA, Arts Midwest NEA, three State Arts Board grants and an MRAC grant. Her work is represented in many museums including the Walker Art Center, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Weisman, and the Minnesota Museum of American Art. Her exhibitions include three major shows at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, a solo exhibit at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, and a group exhibit at PS1. She has been a working artist in the twin cities, as a painter, printmaker, photographer, sculptor, teacher and mentor. She was a founding member of the Women's Art Registry of Minnesota, and of the Traffic Zone Center for Visual Art.
